The Toronto Marlies defeated the Milwaukee Admirals by a score of 6-2 in Game 1 of their Western Conference Quarterfinal series Friday night in Milwaukee.
Sam Carrick scored twice, Jerry D’Amigo and T.J. Brennan added a goal and an assist each and Josh Leivo and Kenny Ryan tallied goals for the Marlies.
Former Admirals goaltender Drew MacIntyre stopped 28 shots for Toronto.
Patrik Cehlin and Filip Forsberg scored for Milwaukee. Marek Mazanec stopped 22 of 26 shots in the loss.
Game 2 is Saturday back at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
