Florida Panthers Executive Vice President and General Manager Dale Tallon announced Wednesday that the club has agreed to terms with F Greg McKegg to a one-year, two-way contract.
McKegg, 23, played in 62 games with the Toronto Marlies last season, ranking second on the club in goals (22) and fourth in points (37). He also appeared in three NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2014-2015 season. During his career in the AHL, McKegg has played in 190 games, all with the Marlies, registering 108 points (50-58—108) with 92 PIM.
The St. Thomas, ON, native was drafted by Toronto in the third round (62nd overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft. McKegg has played in four NHL games, recording two shots and five hits.
