Monarchs edge Milwaukee, regain fourth place

MANCHESTER 5, MILWAUKEE 4

Teddy Purcell and Gabe Gauthier each had a goal and an assist, and Kevin Dallman posted four helpers to lead Manchester to a 5-4 victory over visiting Milwaukee on Monday at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

The victory moved the Monarchs (23-20-4-2) one point ahead of Springfield for fourth place in the Atlantic Division.

Vladimir Dravecky netted a pair of goals for Manchester, and he now has three goals over his last three games after not finding the back of the net in any of his first 26 outings.

The Monarchs’ John Zeiler also scored, and goaltender Dan Cloutier made 20 saves in the victory.

Defenseman Cody Franson scored twice for the Admirals, while Mike Santorelli and Josh Langfeld also lit the lamp.

Milwaukee concludes its brief trip to New England with a game against league-leading Providence on Wednesday.
