Moose double up Bulldogs

Led by Ryan Kesler with a goal and two assists, Manitoba posted a 4-2 win over Hamilton on Saturday night before 8,239 fans at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

The loss ended the Bulldogs’ four-game winning streak.

Kesler and Josh Green scored late in the first period to give the Moose a 2-0 lead, and Jeff Heerema and Lee Goren then added third-period scores.

Kesler upped his season totals to 10 goals and 12 assists in 28 games.

Wade Flaherty turned aside 23 shots to earn the win for the Moose, who have a one-point lead over St. John’s atop the North Division.
