Mouillierat emerges as overtime hero

For the fourth time this postseason the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins went to overtime and for the fourth time this postseason, the Penguins emerged victorious in OT.

 

Kael Mouillierat scored on a power play 2:31 into overtime to give the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 2-1 win over the Hershey Bears in Game 4 of the Atlantic Division Finals at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza on Monday night.

 

With a 2-2 tie in the best-of-seven series, the two meet for Game 5 on Wednesday in Hershey (7 p.m. ET, AHL Live).

 

After a scoreless first period, Penguins Captain Tom Kostopoulos gathered his third of the postseason as he tipped one past the pad of Justin Peters to get the scoring started for the Penguins 5:53 into the second.

 

Minutes later, Carter Camper converged on a Hershey power play to even the score, ending the middle stanza tied up at one.

 

The third remained in a 1-1 deadlock, forcing the first overtime of the series.

 

Tristan Jarry made his first start in the 2016 playoffs for the Penguins, backstopping 22 saves. Justin Peters (5-3) stopped 28 of 30 shots in net for the Bears.
