The Adirondack Phantoms announced on Thursday that goaltender Scott Munroe has signed an AHL contract with the team for the 2012-13 season.
Munroe spent three seasons with the Phantoms in Philadelphia from 2006-09, and ranks third in franchise history with 64 victories, 134 games played and 10 shutouts. He was the winning goaltender in the longest game in AHL history, stopping 65 shots in the Phantoms’ five-overtime playoff victory over the Albany River Rats in 2008.
Munroe played 38 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2011-12, going 19-10-3 with a 2.52 goals-against average, a .907 save percentage and five shutouts.
In 212 career AHL games with Wilkes-Barre, Bridgeport and Philadelphia, Munroe shows a record of 102-74-14 with 18 shutouts.
