Sabres, Pirates extend affiliation

The Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League and the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today that they have extended their affiliation agreement. The new extension is a long-term agreement that re-affirms the commitment between the two franchises.

2010 Clear Day Lists released

The American Hockey League has released the Clear Day Period lists for each of its 29 member clubs. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2009-10 AHL regular season and in the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

Wed. roundup: Sharks break Hartford hex

Worcester rallied for four goals in the third period to pull out a 6-4 win over Hartford on Wednesday at the DCU Center. T.J. Trevelyan broke a 4-4 tie with just 1:45 left in regulation, helping the Sharks to their first win in five tries against the Wolf Pack this season (1-4-0-0).
