NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced today that The Virginia Beach Reading Council recognized the Norfolk Admirals’ All-Star Reading Program with the Literacy Award at their Annual Spring Banquet and Awards Ceremony on May 21.
The All-Star Reader Program rewards elementary school students for reading. Students who completed the program received free tickets to Admirals games. In order to earn the tickets, students in grade levels K-2 read ten books and students in grade levels 3-5 read five books.
