Oilers re-sign Moss

The Edmonton Oilers, parent team of the AHL’s Edmonton Road Runners, have announced goaltender Tyler Moss has agreed to a one-year contract.

Moss is a veteran of 205 AHL games over the past eight seasons with Toronto, Manitoba, Lowell, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Saint John and Adirondack, posting a record of 87-78-29 with 11 shutouts.

In 2003-04, Moss combined for a mark of 17-25-5 in 48 games between the Roadrunners and Moose.

Originally a second-round pick by Tampa Bay in 1993, Moss won the Harry “Hap” Holmes Award for AHL team goaltending in 1997-98, sharing the honor with Jean-Sebastien Giguere. He reached the 1998 Calder Cup Final with Saint John.

Moss has appeared in 30 career NHL contests with Vancouver, Carolina and Calgary.
