Oilers sign Fraser

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, have signed 29-year-old defenseman Mark Fraser to a one-year contract.

Fraser has played 219 regular-season NHL games The 6-foot-4, 220-pound blueliner has played 219 regular-season NHL games with New Jersey, Toronto and Edmonton since he was drafted in the third round, 84th overall, in the 2005 NHL Draft by the Devils.

The 10-year pro has appeared in 386 AHL games with Albany, Lowell, Toronto, Syracuse and Binghamton, totaling 10 goals and 57 assists for 67 points. He tallied two goals and five assists in 60 games with Binghamton in 2015-16.
