O’Sullivan nets two more for Aeros

Houston rookie Patrick O’Sullivan scored twice to help the Aeros to a 4-3 win over the Chicago Wolves at the Toyota Center on Thursday.

With the two goals O’Sullivan now has 41 goals on the season. O’Sullivan leads all AHL rookies by a wide margin; teammate Roman Voloshenko, who scored the first goal of the game in the first period, is second with 29.

Erik Westrum netted a goal and an assist and teammate Kirby Law added two assists to remain the AHL scoring leaders. Westrum has 88 points (31g, 57a) trailing Law who has 90 points (34g, 56a) on the year.

Justin Morrison had two goals and an assist for Chicago in the loss.

The Aeros (44-16-1-2, 91 pts.) have opened up their lead to six points over Milwaukee for the lead in the West division. The Wolves (25-27-3-7, 60 pts.) are in sixth place in the West division, trailing fourth place Omaha by four points for the final playoff spot in the division.

IOWA 3, SAN ANTONIO 2
Dan Jancevski scored the game winning goal for Iowa with 10:14 remaining in the third period to give Iowa the 3-2 win over San Antonio.

The win pulls Iowa to within a point of Omaha for the fourth and final playoff spot in the West division.
