Pasquale returning to IceCaps

The St. John’s IceCaps announced today that they have signed goaltender Eddie Pasquale to a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2015-16 season.

An original IceCap, Pasquale played three seasons in St. John’s from 2011-12 to 2013-14 and holds many team records, including most games played by a netminder – 112.

Pasquale, 24, spent the 2014-15 season in the Washington Capitals organization but did not play while recovering from hip surgery. In 2013-14, he was 17-13-1 in 31 appearances for St. John’s, with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.

A member of the AHL All-Rookie Team in 2011-12, Pasquale has appeared in 136 career regular-season games in the AHL with St. John’s and Chicago, going 66-59-7 (2.63, .910) with 10 shutouts. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2009.
