Penguins wallop Bears, 8-2

Eight different Penguins scored a goal and Kris Beech dished out three assists as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton rolled to an 8-2 win over visiting Hershey on Friday night.

The win moved the Pens into third place in the East Division, two points out of first.

Ross Lupaschuk and Maxime Talbot scored within the first 1:57 of the game to give Wilkes-Barre a quick 2-0 lead. Matt Murley and Erik Christensen made it 4-0 by the end of the first period.

Alain Nasreddine and Michel Ouellet upped the score to 6-1 in the second, and Ramzi Abid and Colby Armstrong closed the scoring in the third period.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves for the Penguins. Peter Budaj allowed three goals on nine shots; Tom Lawson gave up five on 27 shots for the Bears.
