Phantoms sign Rosehill to AHL deal

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced that forward Jay Rosehill has signed an AHL contract with the Flyers organization for the 2015-16 season.

A 30-year-old forward from Olds, Alta., Rosehill spent last season with the Phantoms where he registered five goals, seven assists and 12 points to go along with a team-leading 219 penalty minutes in 65 games.

Rosehill enters his 11th professional season in 2015-16. He has played 425 games in the AHL with Lehigh Valley, Norfolk, Toronto and Springfield, totaling 28 goals and 38 assists for 66 points along with 1,237 penalty minutes. He reached the Calder Cup Finals with the Marlies in 2012.

A seventh-round selection by Tampa Bay in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Rosehill has skated in 117 NHL games with Toronto and Philadelphia, recording five goals and three assists for eight points as well as 352 PIM.
