MANCHESTER, N.H. … Rochester Americans goaltender Ryan Miller stopped 15 of 19 shots and Providence Bruins forward Andy Hilbert recorded the AHL’s first-ever perfect accuracy shooting performance to lead PlanetUSA to a 17-13 victory over the Canadian team in the 2005 AHL All-Star Skills Competition, held in front of 9,916 fans at a sold-out Verizon Wireless Arena here on Sunday night.

It was the second straight year that Miller has claimed the Reebok Top Goaltender honor in the AHL’s skills competition. Miller shined with eight saves in the Irving Oil Rapid Fire event, two in the Coors Light Pass and Score and five more in the RepeatSeat Breakaway Relay.
Hilbert, participating in his third AHL All-Star Classic, needed just four shots to break all four targets in the Dodge Accuracy Shooting event, becoming the first player in the 10-year history of the AHL skills competition to go 4-for-4.
Norfolk Admirals rookie Rene Bourque recorded 99.8 miles an hour on the radar gun to win the CCM Vector Hardest Shot contest. Tomas Plekanec of the Hamilton Bulldogs won the CCM Fastest Skater event with a time of 14.196 seconds. Jason Spezza of the Binghamton Senators won the individual InGlasCo Puck Control Relay for the second time in three seasons.
