Potential schedules announced for East finals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League has announced the potential schedules for the Eastern Conference Finals series in the 2013 Calder Cup Playoffs.

The Eastern Conference Finals will pit the Syracuse Crunch against either the Providence Bruins or the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a best-of-seven series beginning on Saturday. The Bruins and Penguins play the decisive Game 7 of their conference semifinal on Wednesday in Providence, R.I.

The following potential schedules have been approved by the AHL:

If Providence wins on Wednesday:
Eastern Conference Finals – Series “M”
1-Providence Bruins vs. 3-Syracuse Crunch
Game 1 – Sat., May 25 – Syracuse at Providence, TBD
Game 2 – Sun., May 26 – Syracuse at Providence, 7:05 ET
Game 3 – Wed., May 29 – Providence at Syracuse, 7 ET
Game 4 – Fri., May 31 – Providence at Syracuse, 7 ET
*Game 5 – Sat., June 1 – Providence at Syracuse, 7 ET
*Game 6 – Mon., June 3 – Syracuse at Providence, 7:05 ET

In the Western Conference Finals, the Oklahoma City Barons will face either the Grand Rapids Griffins or the Toronto Marlies. The Griffins currently lead the Marlies three games to two, with Game 6 of their conference semifinal set for tonight and Game 7 (if necessary) on Wednesday.
