The Lehigh Valley Phantoms, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced Wednesday that they have signed forward Darroll Powe to an AHL contract for the 2014-15 season.

Last season, Powe skated in 73 AHL games with Hartford, setting career highs with 13 goals and 24 points. Powe made his pro debut with the Philadelphia Phantoms after completing his senior season at Princeton University in 2006-07, and in 168 career AHL contests with the Wolf Pack and Phantoms, he has 28 goals and 30 assists for 58 points along with 279 penalty minutes.

A native of Saskatoon, Sask., Powe has skated in 329 career NHL matches with Philadelphia, Minnesota and the New York Rangers, totaling 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points, as well as 214 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 43 playoff games in the NHL, including a trip to the Stanley Cup Final with the Flyers in 2010.
