Sabres agree to terms with Bagnall

The Buffalo Sabres, parent club of the AHL’s Rochester Americans, announced on Saturday that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Drew Bagnall on a multi-year, two-way contract.

Bagnall appeared in 47 AHL games with the Houston Aeros in 2012-13, recording six points (one goal, five assists), 88 penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating.

In six AHL seasons, the Oakbank, Man., native has totaled 52 points (6g, 46a) and 676 penalty minutes in 382 regular-season games for Houston and Manchester. He reached the Calder Cup Finals with Houston in 2011 and has totaled one goal and four assists in 53 career AHL playoff games.

Originally drafted by Dallas in 2003, Bagnall has appeared in two career NHL games, with Minnesota in 2010-11.
