Sanguinetti earns reGen award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League announced today that Charlotte Checkers defensemen Bobby Sanguinetti has been selected as the winner of the reGen™ Muscle Recovery Beverage/AHL Performance of the Month award for December.

After being sidelined for 10 games with a broken foot, Sanguinetti recovered and recorded five assists in seven games during the month of December to help the Checkers maintain their hold on first place in the AHL’s Midwest Division.

In recognition of his reGen™/AHL Performance of the Month award, Sanguinetti will be honored at an upcoming Charlotte home game.

Even with an injury affecting his season, Sanguinetti is currently tied for first in scoring among Charlotte defensemen with 15 points and ranks third among all Checkers skaters in assists (15). The fourth-year pro is from Trenton, N.J., and has played in 210 AHL games in his career. Altogether, he has racked up 18 goals and 96 assists, for a total 114 points.
