Senators’ Glass named top goalie for November

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.
… The American Hockey League announced today that Jeff Glass of the Binghamton Senators has been named the Rbk X-Pulse/AHL Goaltender of the Month for November. In nine appearances, Glass was 6-2-1 with a 1.77 goals-against average, a .943 save percentage and two shutouts.

Glass began the month by making 35 saves on Nov. 2 in a 5-2 win vs. Bridgeport. One day before his 22nd birthday, he posted his first shutout of the season on Nov. 18, turning aside 28 shots in a 3-0 victory at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Glass then returned to the Wachovia Arena and stopped 36 of 37 shots in a 3-1 win over the Penguins on Nov. 23, and finished out November with a 30-save shutout of Bridgeport on Nov. 30.

In recognition of his achievement, Glass will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Senators home game.

A native of Calgary, Glass owns a record of 8-4-1 in 14 appearances for Binghamton this season and ranks first in the American Hockey League in both goals-against average (1.80) and save percentage (.940). The third-year pro was a third-round draft choice by the Ottawa Senators in 2004.
