Senators host Bears in Thanksgiving tilt

For the 33rd time since professional hockey came to Binghamton in 1973, the Broome County Arena plays host to a Thanksgiving Day game tonight when the Senators battle the Hershey Bears.

The defending Calder Cup champions snapped a three-game winless slide with a 3-2 victory over Lowell on Wednesday night, and are 8-1-0-1 away from home this season.

Eric Fehr continues to lead the Bears with 10 goals, 12 assists and 22 points on the year, and brings a 14-game scoring streak into town. Former B-Sens forward Alexandre Giroux has seven points in his last five games for Hershey, and Tomas Fleischmann has 14 points in nine AHL contests on the year.

Rookie Andrew Ebbett is Binghamton’s top scorer on the season, with 12 assists and 17 points in 15 games. And in his last home start, Kelly Guard made 42 saves in the Senators’ 4-0 shutout win over Albany on Nov. 15.

Face-off is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. (ET), and you can follow the action on theahl.com’s real-time scoreboard or by tuning into B2 Networks’ live video webcast.
