WORCESTER 4, LOWELL 2
Worcester rallied for a trio of unanswered goals in the third period to claim a 4-2 road win over Lowell on Tuesday at the Tsongas Center, giving the Sharks a commanding 3-1 series lead in the teams’ Atlantic Division semifinal.

The division-champion Sharks can eliminate the Devils and move on to a second-round date with Manchester with another victory in Lowell on Wednesday night, when the clubs will meet for Game 5.

Trailing 2-1 entering the final 20 minutes of play, the Sharks got the tying goal from rookie John McCarthy (4:28) and the game-winner from fellow rookie Benn Ferriero (10:27), who scored his first of the playoffs.

T.J. Trevelyan added an insurance marker less than three minutes later, with both his and Ferriero’s goals coming on the power play.

Lowell’s Alexander Vasyunov and Worcester’s Andrew Desjardins traded first-period goals before Patrick Davis put the Devils on top with the lone score of the second frame.

McCarthy finished with a goal and an assist for the sharks, and Dan DaSilva chipped in three assists to give him a team-high seven points (2-5-7) in four playoff games thus far.

Sharks goaltender Alex Stalock secured the victory with 22 saves on 24 shots in net, while Devils counterpart Mike McKenna made 37 saves in the losing effort.

Lowell has dropped three straight games since taking the series opener on Apr. 14.
