Sharks re-sign Fahey

The San Jose Sharks announced on Monday that the club has re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Jim Fahey to a one-year deal.

Fahey played the 2004-05 season with San Jose’s AHL affiliate in Cleveland, tallying four goals and 22 assists for 26 points, along with 146 penalty minutes, in 69 games.

Fahey, a 26-year-old Boston native, split the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons between the Barons and Sharks. He has totaled 22 points (1g, 21a) in 58 career NHL games, and 62 points (8g, 54a) in 126 career AHL matches.

The Sharks also announced they have re-signed defenseman Rob Davison. Davison played 112 games for Cleveland from 2001-03.
