Stars, Barons clinch playoff berths

The Texas Stars and Oklahoma City Barons joined the postseason picture on Saturday night, clinching berths in the 2015 Calder Cup Playoffs.

Texas (37-22-13-1, 88 points) is playoff-bound for the fifth time in six seasons and will have an opportunity to defend their Calder Cup championship when the playoffs open. The Stars won the Cup last spring in their second trip to the Finals in their brief history.

Oklahoma City (39-26-5-3, 86 points) will reach the postseason for the fifth year in a row since joining the AHL in 2010-11. The Barons, who are closing in on their fourth 40-win season, reached the Western Conference Finals in both 2012 and 2013.
