Stars head home with 2-0 lead

Brendan Ranford scored on a wraparound 15:04 into overtime to give the Texas Stars a 3-2 win and a 2-0 series lead over Oklahoma City in their best-of-five Western Conference quarterfinal series.

The series now shifts to Cedar Park for the final three games, with Texas going for the sweep in Game 3 on Wednesday night.

AHL MVP Travis Morin scored twice in regulation for the Stars, tying the game at 1-1 in the final minute of the second period and then forcing OT with another equalizer at 19:20 of the third period.

Jack Campbell made his pro playoff debut in net for Texas and stopped 38 of 40 shots on the night, including all 11 he faced in overtime.

Roman Horak and Jujhar Khaira scored for the Barons, who held third-period leads in both Game 1 and Game 2 but dropped them both in overtime.

Richard Bachman made 36 saves in defeat.
