Game 4

Matt Fraser and Alex Chiasson scored and Cristopher Nilstorp made 34 saves as Texas held on for a 2-1 win over Milwaukee on Friday night to wrap up their Western Conference quarterfinal series, three games to one.

The top-seeded Stars will face Houston, Oklahoma City or Charlotte in the second round.

Just past the midway point of the first period, Colton Sceviour feathered a pass from behind the Milwaukee net to Fraser, who snapped a shot home from the bottom of the right-wing circle to make it 1-0.

Then, 1:29 into the second period, Chiasson got a piece of Kevin Connauton‘s shot from the point to give Texas a 2-0 lead.

Nilstorp, who blanked the Admirals in Game 3, extended his personal shutout streak to 128 minutes and 39 seconds before Kevin Henderson got Milwaukee on the board at 1:40 of the third period, banging home a rebound of Taylor Beck‘s shot.

The Admirals continued to press for the equalizer but Nilstorp and the Stars stood tall, with the goaltender making 17 of his 34 saves in the final frame.

Nilstorp (3-1) stopped 103 of 107 shots in the four-game series, good for a 0.96 goals-against average and a .963 save percentage.

Magnus Hellberg (1-3, 1.69, .944) made 24 saves in Game 4.
