Biography

2011-12: Name the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic most valuable player after stopping 10 of 11 shots in the third period to help lead the Western Conference to an 8-7 shootout victory… Also named Reebok top goaltender during the AHL All-Star Classic’s skills competition… Led the AHL in shutouts with a career-high six… Ranked second overall in the AHL in save percentage with .930… Established AHL career highs in wins (26) and shutouts (six).

2010-11: Ranked 20th in AHL with 2.55 goals-against average while he finished with a 17-14-2 record and a career-high .914 save percentage and two shutouts... Appeared in seven NHL games for the St. Louis Blues, compiling a 3-4-0 record and 2.77 GAA... He notched his first NHL shutout on Feb. 25, 2011 with 39 saves in 5-0 win at Edmonton... Appeared in his 100th professional game on 10/26 at Texas and notched his 50th professional win in the net on 12/11/10 vs. Grand Rapids.

2009-10: Set the franchise marks for a single season in games played (48), minutes (2,793), wins (23), losses (18), shots faced (1,302), saves (1,173) and shootout attempts (42). Began the season with St. Louis (NHL) and accompanied the team on their opening trip to Sweden before being assigned to Peoria on 10/5/09.

2008-09: Split time between the Rivermen and St. Louis during his first full season of professional hockey. After beginning the season with the Rivermen, he was recalled on 10/19/08 and made his NHL debut on 10/24/08 vs. Los Angeles. Played 40 minutes and made 15 saves on 17 shots. Made his first NHL start on 10/25/08 vs. Florida and made all 12 saves in 45 minutes of play before leaving with a lower-body injury but still earning the win and No. 1 star honors. Earned his only shutout of the season for Peoria on 12/20/08 @ Iowa.

2007-08: Appeared in five games with the Rivermen after completing his junior season at the University of Maine. Earned his first pro win and first fighting major on 3/21/08 when he fought former Rivermen Jason Bacashihua and made 17 saves in a 5-2 win over Lake Erie. Named to the Hockey East Second All-Star Team. NCAA: Played three seasons for the University of Maine (2005-08). Was given the starting job as a freshman and posted a 13-5-2 record within the Hockey East conference and his 2.28 GAA was one of the best among freshman goalies. Started the first 27 games of his sophomore year and 34 in all (fourth-most by a Maine goalie). His 819 saves on the season were fifth-most in a single season at Maine. He posted a 2.14 goals against average and a .923 save percentage; his GAA was eighth in the nation and his save percentage was ninth. He was named to the NCAA East Regional All-Tournament team, earned Hockey East Goaltender of the Month honors for October and also the Hockey Commissioners Association Player of the Month award in October.
