Biography
Acquired: Signed an American Hockey League contract with the Rochester Americans on September 4, 2008... Was the Tampa Bay Lightning’s sixth-round selection (192nd overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Last Season: Finished his first ever professional playoff run with 2 goals and 6 assists in 9 games...Was reassigned to the Florida Everblades (ECHL) on 11/11...Recorded his first point as an Amerk with an assist in his Rochester debut on 10/10 against Syracuse
Career:
2007-08: Was a teammate of Janis Sprukts in Lukko Rauma...Finished his only season with Lukko Rauma (FNL) with nine points (5+4) in 39 games
2006-07: Returned to Springfield (AHL) for his second stint with the Falcons and finished the season with 19 points (6+13) in 53 games… Was second among team defenseman in scoring...Recorded six points (0+6) in 22 games with the Portland Pirates (AHL) before re-joining Springfield...Split the season between the Springfield Falcons and the Portland Pirates in the AHL
2005-06: Made his NHL debut, collecting two PIM in five contests with the Tampa Bay Lightning...Notched an AHL career-best in points (32), goals (7) and assists (25) in 74 games with Springfield to finish as the teams’ top scoring defenseman
2004-05: Made his AHL debut with the Springfield Falcons, scoring 17 points (4+13) in 74 games...Made his professional debut with the Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL)… Skates in three games with the Chiefs before being promoted to the AHL
