Biography

LAST SEASON | 2010-11 • Scored two goals on 12/17/10 at Grand Rapids, marking the first multi-goal game of his professional career. • Recorded 102 penalty minutes – 8th on the team – and accumulated 14 fighting majors. • Fought current teammate Kyle Hagel twice (10/12/10 and 11/9/10). CAREER 2009-10: Began first professional season with AHL Peoria. Appeared in one game before being assigned to ECHL Alaska on 10/12/09. Recorded an assist and 45 penalty minutes while playing five games for the Alaska Aces before being reassigned to AHL Peoria on 10/24/09. Appeared in 16 more games with Peoria recording one goal and one assist before being sent to IHL Bloomington on 1/16/10. Played just two games for Bloomington recording one assist and 12 PIM. Reassigned to Alaska (ECHL) on 1/21/10. Ended the season with 31 games played for Alaska, including four playoff appearances. Tallied five goals, seven assists, 12 points and 54 PIM in that time. 2008-09: Began the season with Sault Ste. Marie of the Ontario Hockey League. Traded to Brampton (OHL) in early January after the first 36 games of the season. Scored a goal in his first game with new team on 1/10/09 at Barrie. Registered 10 points (5g, 5a) in seven games in March to end the season. Signed first pro contract with Blues in March. Led Brampton to the OHL finals. Tied for fourth on team in goals (8) and points (15) in the playoffs. Second on team in PIM (29) for the playoffs. 2007-08: Spent time with both Erie and Sault Ste. Marie. Started the season with the Erie Otters. Registered his first career multi-goal game on 9/22/07 at Plymouth. Traded to Sault Ste. Marie for the final 42 games of the season. Scored first career playoff goals in back-to-back games on 3/26/08 and 3/27/08 at Saginaw. Notched only assist on the playoffs on 4/16/08 at Kitchener. 2005-07: Notched 12 goals and six assists in first two seasons with OHL Erie (120 games). Finished first on the team and eighth in the league with 176 PIM in 2006-07.
