LAST SEASON | 2010-11
• Recorded his first point of the season on 11/27/10 vs. Abbotsford and finished with nine points (5g, 4a) in 62 games.
• Notched his only multi-point game of the season (1g, 1a) on 3/1/11 vs. Chicago.
CAREER
2009-10: Began his first professional season with AHL Peoria. Appeared all but three games recording 24 points (11g, 13a) with 33 penalty minutes. Finished the season strong with 15 points (7g, 8a) in the final 33 games of the season. Scored first professional goal on 11/5/09 vs. San Antonio and notched first professional assist the next day (11/6/09) at Milwaukee.
WHL: Played five seasons for the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League. Recorded 89 goals and 82 assists for 171 points with 175 penalty minutes in over 230 games with Calgary. Following the 2008-09 season, Sonne was named to WHL East First All-Star Team and was named “WHL Player of the Year.” Won 2009 World Junior Championships with Team Canada. Recorded best month of WHL career in February 2009 with 15 goals and seven assists. Finished third in the league with 100 points, led team in goals (48) and ranked fourth on the team in assists (52) in 2008-09. Played in just six games in his first season with Calgary at the age of 15.
