Biography

Career Notes

Enters his first full professional season in 2012-13. Chiasson was drafted by Dallas in the second round (38th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He played three seasons for Boston University of Hockey East, where he led the Terriers in scoring each of the last two years. He was named a 2011 & 2012 Hockey East Honorable Mention All-Star and was twice honored as the Hockey East Player of the Week on 2/20/12 and 3/12/12. After the conclusion of his junior year, Chiasson signed a three-year entry level contract with Dallas on 3/26/12 and joined Texas on an amateur tryout. He made his pro and AHL debut for the Stars on 3/28/12 against Hamilton, he tallied his first career pro point with an assist on 4/1/12 against Lake Erie and scored his first pro & AHL goal on 4/10/12 against Chicago. In 2008-09 Chiasson played for the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL, where he led his team in scoring and was named to the 2009 USHL All-Star game.
