Buffalo Sabres’ fifth-round selection (137th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Signed a one-year American Hockey League contract with the Rochester Americans on July 10, 2013.
2012-13: Registered a career-high nine assists and 78 PIM in 60 games with the OHL’s Barrie Colts… Ranked third among team defensemen with a +10 on-ice rating… Added four points (2+2) and 28 PIM in 22 postseason contests with Barrie, helping the Colts advance to the J. Ross Robertson Cup Finals where they fell to the eventual OHL champion London Knights in seven games
2011-12: Rebounded from an early season injury and finished the campaign with a career-high eight goals and 11 points in 51 games with Barrie… Third among team Colts blueliners with a +3 on-ice rating while piling up 46 PIM… Guided Barrie to a second place finish in the Central Division before taking the Colts to the second round of the 2012 OHL Playoffs… Scored two goals and collected one assist in 13 postseason contests… Was also +10 during the playoffs… 2010-11: Collected six assists and 75 penalty minutes in a total of 39 OHL games… Began the season in Saginaw, where he notched three assists and accumulated 33 penalty minutes in 24 games for the first-place Spirit… Traded to Barrie during the season at the January deadline and collected three assists and 42 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Colts… 2009-10: Saw limited ice time as a rookie with the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit… Picked up one assist and had 39 penalty minutes with a +7 on-ice rating in 53 appearances… Appeared in three OHL playoff games
Attended St. Francis High School in Buffalo, NY… Recorded 26 points (6+20) in 40 games with the Red Raiders as a 16-year-old during the 2008-09 season.
