Career Notes
Enters his fifth professional season in 2012-13. Older brother of Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn. Jordie Benn finished his second full season with Texas in 2011-12 by ranking sixth on the team in points (32) and tied for fifth in assists (23). He made his NHL debut with Dallas on 1/3/12 against the Detroit Red Wings and he record his first career NHL point when he and his brother both assisted on a Loui Eriksson goal. Benn was recalled to Dallas again in April where he recorded another assist in his third career NHL game on 4/7/12 against the St. Louis Blues. He played his second full pro season with the Allen Americans, the Stars’ CHL affiliate, helping them reach the CHL Finals.
