Biography
Career Notes:
Enters his second full professional season in 2012-13. Dowling made his pro and AHL debut with the Abbotsford Heat on an Amateur Tryout (ATO) 3/30/11 at Hamilton. He recorded his first pro point with an assist on 4/1/11 vs. Grand Rapids and then scored his first pro goal on 4/2/11 against the Griffins. Dowling split his first pro season (2011-12) between Abbotsford (AHL) and the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL). He also appeared in three Kelly Cup Playoff games for Utah last year. Dowling played four full seasons of major junior hockey for the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he played with fellow Stars teammates Cody Eakin and Taylor Vause. In 280 career WHL games he had 242 points (81 goals, 161 assists) and 57 penalty minutes.

Voted into the starting lineup for the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game on 1/2/13…Signed a SPC on 1/7/13 and was called up from Idaho (ECHL).
