2012-13: Earned his first point of the 21012-13 season in the Checkers opener vs. Houston (10/13)…leads the team in plus-minus rating with a plus 2…leads the team with 8 PIM

2011-12: Completed his first professional season and first with the Checkers … Recorded his first professional point, an assist on Drayson Bowman’s goal at SA (10/29) … Picked up the only fighting major of his career when he dropped the gloves with Mike Angelidis at NOR (11/23) … Had the lone assist on Matthew Pistilli’s goal that opened the scoring just 2:07 into the game and was plus-2 vs. MIL (11/27) … Assisted on Zach Boychuk’s game-tying goal and was plus-2 vs. HER (1/11) … Scored his first professional goal, an unassisted tally with 6:34 remaining in the third period that held up as the game-winner, vs. GR (1/15) … Notched his second goal of the season vs. RFD (1/27) … Took a career-high six shots on goal vs. PEO (3/20) … Scored his third goal of the campaign at RFD (4/10) … Took a career-high six penalty minutes in Charlotte’s last game of the season at MIL (4/15) … Games missed due to injury: 6 (upper body: 2/25-3/11; lower body: 4/5) … Sat out six games as a healthy extra (10/22, 10/28, 10/30, 11/6-11/12).

2010-11: Played 68 regular-season games in his final junior season with Everett (WHL), and four more playoff games… Led the Silvertips with 89 penalty minutes in the regular season. Compiled 12 points (1g, 11a) in the regular season and a team best two goals during Everett’s first-round playoff loss to Portland...Signed to an Entry-Level Contract by the Carolina Hurricanes on 4/04.

2009-10:Left Finland to play first season of North American hockey for the Everett Silvertips in the Western Hockey League… In 71 games, scored four goals (all on the power play) and added 11 assists… Accumulated a plus-18 rating and 103 penalty minutes for the Silvertips, who allowed the fewest regular-season goals (175) in the WHL.

2008-09: Split the season between Finland’s U-18 team and KalPa’s Junior A squad…. Helped Finland upset Canada in the U-18 World Championships’ Bronze Medal game…One goal, eight assists and 56 PIM with KalPa…Selected by the Everett Silvertips in the First Round (17th overall) of the CHL Import Draft.

Juniors:Played two seasons for the Everett Silvertips (WHL), where he recorded 27 points (5g, 22a) and 192 PIM over 139 games.

Miscellaneous: Played for Finland in the 2011 World Junior Championships in Buffalo, NY….Won a Bronze Medal with Finland at the 2008 U-18 World Championships… Selected by the Everett Silvertips in the First Round (17th overall) of the CHL Import Draft…Signed to an Entry-Level Contract by the Carolina Hurricanes on 4/4/11.
