Biography

Career Notes

Enters his second North American professional season in 2013-14. Nemeth was drafted by Dallas in the second round (41st overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and signed a three-year entry level contract with Dallas on April 21, 2011. He made his AHL debut with Texas on October 13, 2012 at San Antonio and recorded his first career AHL point on November 25, 2012 with an assist on the game-winning goal in a 5-3 victory at San Antonio. Nemeth scored his first AHL goal on February 12, 2013 vs. Houston, but suffered an injury three days last in a home game against Oklahoma City and missed the next 24 straight games. He returned to action on April 19, 2013 vs. Houston, but did not finish the game and did not suit up for any of the Stars’ 2013 Calder Cup Playoff games. Nemeth won a gold medal with Team Sweden at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship in Alberta; it was Sweden’s first WJC gold medal since 1981 and their second in team history. He also represented Sweden at the 2011 World Juniors in Buffalo, New York, the 2010 IIHF Under-18 World Junior Championship in Saskatchewan and the 2010 World Junior-A Challenge in British Columbia
