Originally signed to a one-year, two-way American Hockey League contract with the Rochester Americans on July 18, 2012. Re-signed a one-year deal with the Amerks on July 10, 2013.

2012-13: Finished his first pro season scoring eight goals with two assists in 64 games for the Amerks… Closed out the regular season with a goal at Hamilton on 4/21… Had a three-game goal-scoring streak from 2/05 to 2/12… Missed two games (12/21-12/22) with an illness… Scored his first pro goal against former Amerk goaltender Jacob Markstrom in a 4-2 loss to San Antonio on 11/28… Earned a game-high 12 PIM and collected his first professional point with an assist at Adirondack on 10/27… Was also +3 in the game… Made his professional debut against Grand Rapids on 10/19, earning 11:31 of ice time over 17 shifts
