Career Notes
Enters his eighth professional season in 2012-13. Nilstorp signed a one-year two way contract with Dallas on 6/5/12 and is looking to make his North American debut with the Texas Stars. He grew up playing for his hometown club, Malmö Redhawks, and twice received a J20 SM Silver Medal (2001-02 & 2003-04). Nilstorp has appeared in 125 career games in the Swedish Elite League (SEL), or Elitserien, including the last two for Färjestads BK. During the 2011-12 season he posted a .923 save percentage, a 2.04 goals-against average and five shutouts in 54 games played for the club. Nilstorp helped Färjestads win the 2011 Le Mat Trophy as the champions of the Elitserien. During the 2011 SEL playoffs he recorded a .944 save percentage and a 1.60 goals-against average in nine appearances. He was also the #3 goalie Team Sweden’s roster for the 2012 IIHF World Championship hosted by Sweden and Finland. He earned the best save percentage award in the AllSvenskan in 2008-09 helping Rogle earn promotion into the Elitserien.
