ACQUIRED: Selected at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders in the 6th round (160th overall) Last Season: Started the season with the Sound Tigers before he was reassigned to the Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) … With the Sound Tigers, he scored five points (2g/3a) while compiling 10 penalty minutes … In Utah, he recorded 12 points (1g/11a) in 38 games … Helped the Grizzlies reach the National Conference Finals scoring 12 points (3g/9a) in 15 games. 2006-07: In 65 games played with the Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL), he had 58 points (14g/44a) and 81 penalty minutes … Joined the Sound Tigers at the end of the season playing in three games. 2005-06: Member of the Presidents Cup Champion Wildcats (QMJHL Champions) … MacDonald netted 46 points (6g/40a) in 68 games … Joined the team as a free agent and worked his way up into the team’s top-three defensemen.
