CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 2011-12: Played the final 49 games of the season for Lake Erie after making his Monsters debut on 12/16/12… Started season with Chicago (AHL), playing in five games… Strong’s 54 AHL games played during the campaign was a career high; he split the season with Kalamazoo (ECHL), where he also played in 21 games, logging 23 points… 2010-11: Began season with Crimmitschau ETC in Germany, where he picked up 23 points in 25 games before returning to Kalamazoo (ECHL), where he played six regular season games and 15 playoff games during Kalamazoo’s run to the Kelly Cup Finals, where the team ultimately fell to the Alaska Aces four games to one… Registered 14 playoff points in 15 games for Kalamazoo… 2009-10: In tallying 37 points in 34 games for Kalamazoo (ECHL), was named team’s AT&T Rookie of the Year during first professional season… Also saw first 16 AHL games of his career with Worcester, earning five points… 2005-09: Played for University of Vermont (Hockey East), and never missed a game in four seasons… Served as team captain during senior season with the Catamounts, and was the recipient of Hockey East’s Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award as a senior… Was also awarded the Semans Trophy, which goes to the male and female student-athletes who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and who earned the respect and regard from his/her fellow students for leadership, loyalty, and service to Vermont.
