Career Notes

Enters his fourth professional season in 2012-13. Sceviour was drafted by Dallas in the fourth round (112th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and he is the Texas Stars’ all-time leader in games played (232) and game-winning goals (12) heading into the 2012-13 season. He is tied for the franchise lead in shorthanded goals (4) and he ranks second on the Stars’ all-time list for points (125), assists (79) and shots (526). Sceviour made his NHL debut with Dallas on 2/5/11 at Philadelphia. Last season he finished second on Texas in goals (21) and assists (32) and third in points (53). He has the most penalty shot goals in team history (2) and he is tied with Travis Morin for the most penalty shot attempts (3). Colton’s father Darin Sceviour was drafted by Chicago in the 5th round of the 1984 NHL Entry draft and made his NHL debut with the Blackhawk in the 1986-87 season; Darin played in 224 career pro games in the AHL, IHL, Canadian National Team and in Germany.
