2008-09: Made the Flyers roster out of training camp and became the first player from the state of Alabama to play in the National Hockey League when he made his NHL debut with the Flyers on10/11/08 vs. the New York Rangers…Played his third season with the Phantoms, leading the team in scoring with 69 points (29 goals, 40 assists) in 64 games played…Was one of two Phantoms to play in the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic…Won the Fastest Skater event in the Skills Competition and was named the Charter Communications Most Valuable Player of 2009 AHL All-Star Game in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 26; he set AHL All-Star Classic records for assists (6) and points (7) with PlanetUSA…Played in all six Stanley Cup playoff games for the Flyers, making his NHL playoff debut on 4/15/09 at Pittsburgh…Scored his first career Stanley Cup playoff goal in Game Three vs. Pittsburgh on 4/19/09.

COLLEGE: Played four years of NCAA Division I college hockey for the University of Alabama-Huntsville of the CHA…His father Doug Ross was his head coach; Doug was UAH’s head coach for 25 years (1982-2007)…In 133 career NCAA games for the Chargers he scored 158 points (72 goals, 86 assists) and had 137 penalty minutes…He helped lead UAH to the 2002-03 CHA Regular Season Championship…The Chargers were the CHA Runners Up during his freshman and senior seasons.
