Svatos leads Bears to victory

Marek Svatos scored three goals and assisted on a fourth as Hershey posted a 5-2 road win over Bridgeport at the Arena at Harbor Yard on Wednesday night.

The win kept the Bears six points out of the final playoff spot in the East Division.

It was the first multiple-goal game of the season for Svatos, who now has 12 goals on the year.

Jeff Ulmer had a goal and an assist for Hershey; his shorthanded score in the second period put the Bears in the lead for good. Brett Clark also scored, and David Masse added two assists.

Peter Budaj made 26 saves to run his record to 23-15-0 on the season.

Cole Jarrett and Matt Koalska scored for the Sound Tigers, who saw their three-gamem winning streak come to an end.
