The Texas Stars have acquired forward Anthony Louis from the Charlotte Checkers in exchange for future considerations.
Louis, 24, has notched one goal in eight games for Charlotte this season.
Last year, Louis recorded 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points in 74 AHL games with the Rockford IceHogs. As a rookie in 2017-18, he led the IceHogs in both assists (30) and points (44) and helped the club reach the Western Conference Finals.
A sixth-round pick by Chicago in the 2013 NHL Draft, Louis has totaled 28 goals and 54 assists for 82 points in 165 career AHL games with Rockford and Charlotte.
