Winter weather postpones two games tonight

The American Hockey League announced today that a pair of games have been postponed due to inclement winter weather in the northeastern United States.

Tonight’s game between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Syracuse Crunch (AHL #708), scheduled to be played at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., has been postponed, as has tonight’s game between the Lowell Devils and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL #703), scheduled for the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Conn.

Make-up information for both games will be announced at a later date.

These are the third and fourth AHL games this season to be postponed due to inclement weather. San Antonio’s game in Omaha on Dec. 22 was postponed when the Rampage could not travel to Omaha due to a winter storm, and Peoria’s game in Grand Rapids on Feb. 3 was postponed because of blizzard conditions in West Michigan.

The Penguins and Wolf Pack have announced that tickets originally purchased for tonight’s games will be honored for the makeup date.
