Wolf Pack sign defenseman Nash

The Hartford Wolf Pack announced today that the team has signed defenseman Brendon Nash to an American Hockey League contract.

Nash, a veteran of two pro seasons, appeared in 54 AHL games with Hamilton, San Antonio and Charlotte in 2012-13, totaling six goals and 13 assists for 19 points along with a cumulative plus-11 rating.

Prior to sitting out the 2011-12 season due to injury, Nash skated in 75 AHL games as a rookie with Hamilton in 2010-11, notching five goals and 25 assists for 30 points and leading all AHL rookie blueliners with a plus-22 rating. Nash then recorded four assists in 19 Calder Cup Playoff games, helping the Bulldogs to the Western Conference Finals. He also appeared in two NHL games with the Canadiens.

Nash was originally signed as a free agent by Montreal on Mar. 30, 2010, after a four-year career at Cornell University, where he was a First-Team East All-American and First-Team ECAC All-Star selection in his senior year of 2009-10.
