Wolves, Griffins going the distance

Facing elimination, Chicago scored a pair of power-play goals midway though the second period to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead and went on to a 5-2 victory over Grand Rapids at Van Andel Arena on Wednesday night.

The winner-take-all Game 5 of the series will take place Sunday afternoon at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.

Nic Hague and T.J. Tynan scored on consecutive man-advantages for the Wolves, who had entered the game 2-for-14 on the power play in the series.

Cody Glass upped the lead to 3-1 with his first career Calder Cup Playoff goal at 1:03 of the third period, and Tye McGinn and Keegan Kolesar finished off the scoring with empty-netters.

Oscar Dansk (1-1) made 29 saves to earn the first playoff victory of his AHL career.

Derek Hulak and Turner Elson scored for the Griffins.
