AHL All-Star jersey designs unveiled

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League and CCM Hockey announced today that CCM’s new Quicklite jersey technology will debut at the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino, set for Jan. 28-29 in Utica, N.Y.

The 2018 AHL All-Star Challenge on Jan. 29 will mark the first time the CCM Quicklite jersey will ever be worn in a game. Utilizing the color palettes of the American Hockey League and the host Utica Comets, the 2018 All-Star Challenge jerseys are white with red and blue trim for the Atlantic Division; green with blue and white trim for the North Division; blue with red and white trim for the Central Division; and red with blue and white trim for the Pacific Division.

Quicklite jerseys feature a new, more breathable fabric and new MixMedia cresting techniques, all designed for increased comfort, enhanced durability, better range of motion. They also include new CCM DNA on the back and a new signature collar design with a deboss pattern.

“We built the Quicklite concept around improving player performance through a lighter weight uniform system with an enhanced range of motion and comfort,” said Maria Pineiro, Global Business Unit Director Softgoods & Sourcing for CCM Hockey. “CCM is continuously investing in developing advanced technologies on skates, sticks and protective equipment to make them lighter and more performant and we felt that the player uniform could deliver on these same key attributes.”

In addition to debuting Quicklite at this month’s AHL All-Star Classic, the American Hockey League will be transitioning to Quicklite uniforms (with existing team designs) for all 31 of its teams for the 2018-19 season.
