500 points for Marlies’ Mueller

With a second-period goal in Syracuse on Saturday night, Toronto Marlies forward Chris Mueller has reached a notable career milestone.

Mueller became the 95th player in AHL history to record 500 career regular-season points.

An 11th-year pro from West Seneca, N.Y., Mueller has amassed 208 goals and 292 assists in 684 regular-season AHL games with Toronto, Tucson, San Diego, Hartford, Texas, Milwaukee, Lake Erie and Grand Rapids.

The 32-year-old Mueller has also skated in 88 postseason games in the AHL, winning Calder Cup championships with the Marlies (2018) and Stars (2014). He has totaled 27 goals and 37 assists in playoff action.

Mueller has also appeared in 53 games in the NHL with Nashville, Dallas and the N.Y. Rangers, registering three goals and seven assists.
