Aeros’ Kinkel suspended 7 games

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Houston Aeros forward Bill Kinkel has been suspended a total of seven (7) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. the Hartford Wolf Pack on Mar. 4.

Kinkel received an automatic one-game suspension for instigating an altercation within the final five minutes of regulation, and a six-game suspension for leaving the bench for the purpose of starting an altercation.

Kinkel, who has already served the first two games of his suspension, will also miss Houston’s games tonight (Mar. 9) vs. Chicago, Mar. 12 at Omaha, Mar. 15 at Chicago, Mar. 17 at Milwaukee and Mar. 18 at San Antonio.
